1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using FYLG("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

FYLG is a travel planning application that allows users to create structured itineraries, organize trips, and discover destinations.

The Service is intended for informational and planning purposes only.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.

By using FYLG, you represent that you meet this requirement.

4. User Accounts and Authentication

FYLG uses third-party identity providers, including Auth0, for authentication.

By signing in, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the confidentiality of your account
  • Be responsible for all activity under your account

We are not responsible for any loss or damage arising from unauthorized access to your account.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you create, including itineraries and trip data.

By using FYLG, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

We do not claim ownership of your content.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Some features may require a paid subscription.

  • Payments are processed through the platform where you downloaded the app (e.g. Apple App Store, Google Play Store)
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled
  • Cancellation must be done through the respective platform
  • Refunds are governed by the platform's policies

We do not manage or control subscription billing directly.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for unlawful purposes
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or data
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Reverse engineer, copy, or resell any part of the Service
  • Use the Service in a way that could harm other users

8. Third-Party Services

FYLG relies on third-party services, which may include:

  • Mapping and location providers
  • Places and discovery services
  • Weather data providers
  • Authentication services (e.g. Auth0)

We do not control these services and are not responsible for their accuracy, availability, or performance.

Your use of such services may also be subject to their terms.

9. Travel Disclaimer

FYLG provides planning tools and suggestions for convenience only.

We do not guarantee:

  • Route accuracy
  • Travel times
  • Availability of locations
  • Safety or suitability of destinations

You are solely responsible for:

  • Your travel decisions
  • Verifying information
  • Your personal safety

Always use your own judgment and confirm details independently.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available".

We make no warranties, express or implied, including:

  • Accuracy
  • Reliability
  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Availability without interruption

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • FYLG shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • This includes loss of data, travel disruption, or personal decisions based on the Service

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without cause.

You may stop using the Service at any time.

Upon termination:

  • Your access to the Service will end
  • Data may be deleted in accordance with our policies

13. Changes to the Service

We may modify or discontinue parts of the Service at any time without liability.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

We will notify users of material changes where appropriate.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.

16. Account & Data Deletion

You may delete your account or request removal of specific data at any time.

Upon account deletion, your personal data will be permanently removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate security purposes.
